Custom Lenses are an extrememly flexibile framework for the @awscloud Well-Architected Tool

- write up your questions w/answers and references in a specific JSON format
- upload to S3
- add to the Well-Architected Tool
after a bit of permissioning, teams in your org can use your questions in the Tool

lots of reasons, mainly though because you have specific concerns that you want an easy way of reminding teams of
this is a great way to get some key questions addressed throughout the development process

and that’s really the downside I see. not enough teams are using the @awscloud Well-Architected Framework, let alone the tool for this to really change the game
so, my top tip: USE THE FRAMEWORK!
